Interpreting
Consecutive Interpreting
During consecutive interpreting, the speaker stops
(usually at the end of every paragraph or complete thought) and the
interpreter then steps in to render what was said into the target
language.
Simultaneous Interpreting
Real-time interpreting for conferences, large meetings and
high-level official talks. Simultaneous interpreting involves the
interpreter translating one sentence while simultaneously listening
to the next.
Whispered Interpreting
Whispered interpreting is a form of simultaneous interpreting.
The interpreter will sit amongst the audience and translate the
speaker in a low voice or whisper.
Telephone interpreting
This type of interpreting is used for long distance
business negotiations when a suitable interpreter is not available
locally. Three-way teleconferences are the preferred method for this
method of interpreting.
